1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Leo Ledger ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Leo Ledger is a personal finance tracking application that stores all data locally on your device. The App allows you to manually record account balances, track net worth over time, set financial goals, manage budgets, and export encrypted data files. The App does not connect to banks, financial institutions, or any external servers.

3. Not Financial Advice

Leo Ledger is a data tracking and visualization tool. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. All projections, insights, debt payoff calculations, and goal tracking are estimates based on data you enter and should not be relied upon for making financial decisions.

Always consult a qualified financial advisor, tax professional, or legal counsel before making significant financial decisions.

4. User Responsibilities

• Data accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter. The App does not verify balances or financial information.
• Data backup: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining backups. Deleting the App or resetting your device will permanently delete your data.
• File sharing: If you export and share encrypted .ledger files, you are responsible for sharing them securely and managing access to the password.
• Device security: You are responsible for securing your device. The App offers optional Face ID / Touch ID lock, but overall device security is your responsibility.

5. In-App Purchases

Leo Ledger offers optional premium modules as one-time in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. All purchases are:

• Processed by Apple according to their terms and conditions
• Non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy
• Tied to your Apple ID and restorable on your devices

Core features (check-ins, dashboard, net worth tracking, export/import, notifications, and streaks) are free and will remain free.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, icons, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App. Your financial data remains yours — we claim no ownership over any data you enter into the App.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP OR IN-APP PURCHASES.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
